The parish is happy to announce that we will be open for PUBLIC SUNDAY MASS beginning this Saturday, August 8th and Sunday August 9th 2020.

Here is the schedule: (Please remember to wear your mask)

Saturday, August 29th

6 to 7 p.m. Spanish Vigil Mass Saint Kateri Tekakwitha

Sunday, August 30th

8 a.m. El Señor de Los Milagros

9 a.m. Saint Kateri Tekakwitha

9:30 a.m. Santa Rosa de Lima

10:30 a.m. Cristo Rey Church

As Saint Kateri Parish prepares for Phase one gradual reopening let us all remember the following:

1. Vulnerable persons: 65 years old and above, and people of any age (including children) who have serious underlying medical conditions are encouraged to continue shelter in place and not make in-person visits to our churches and chapels.

2. In order to maintain proper social distancing, public indoor weekend Masses are limited to no more than 1/3 of seating capacity in churches/chapels. We maintain the original weekend Mass schedules:

a. Saint Kateri Tekakwitha church - 50 persons. 9:00AM

6:00PM (Vigil, in Spanish)

b. Cristo Rey - 40 persons 10:30AM and 5:00PM

c. Santa Rosa - 25 persons 9:30AM

d. El Señor - 25 persons 8:00AM

e. San Martin - 20 persons 11:00AM (First Sunday)

f. San Ignacio - 20 persons as scheduled

3. When on church property, all persons must follow strict social distancing protocols, maintaining approximately 6 feet of space between unrelated persons, indoors as well as outdoors. Family of 5-6 members may sit together but keep social distance from others.

4. All people should stay home if they are sick or have symptoms of illness.

5. Parishioners are encouraged to wear face mask upon entering the church.

6. Use only one entry point for any indoor Masses. The sign, "CHURCH IS NOW FULL" will be posted at the entrance of the church once we reach the maximum sitting capacity.

7. Ushers, wearing mask, shall be stationed at the entry door to greet the people, offer hand sanitizer, and show parishioners their seats.

8. The Sunday collection basket will not be passed. There will be one stationary collection basket located at the back of the church where parishioners can place their donation/envelope AFTER THE MASS.

9. Holy Water fonts are not in use, all Missalettes and hymnals are removed. There will be no congregational singing.

10. No holding hands at Our Father. The Sign of Peace should be offered without contact (small bow).

11. Eucharistic ministers are required to wear masks; they are to wash their hands before and after the distribution of Holy Communion and to use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.

Vulnerable Persons may not act as Eucharistic Ministers.

12. The Eucharist is to be received only in the hand. The chalice is not shared. Distribution of the Eucharist will be after Mass, outside the church, in socially distant single files.

13. The side doors (barred with yellow tape) and windows will be propped open for ventilation ONLY.

14. St. Kateri Parish will do all that is reasonable to maintain a sanitized environment for all. Frequently touched surfaces (back of chairs and pews, doorknobs, restroom fixtures, etc.) will be sanitized with 70% alcohol between Masses.

15. Weekday Masses in church, Baptisms, First Communion, Confirmation, gatherings, meetings or events remain suspended until further notice. Graveside services remain limited to 10 persons.

The Parish will continue to live stream all Masses on Facebook.
